Choose from Different School Fundraiser Ideas

One can have a very successful school fund raising program with the help of a variety of ideas that would provide entertainment and raise money as well. There are certain programs that would appeal to the different school levels i.e. elementary, middle, or high school equally. While there also are ideas that would appeal only to a particular level. One needs to keep the target audience in mind while planning a school fundraising program.

A couple of ideas for school fundraising that are guaranteed to work are as follows:

Film Show

A movie session excites most people and draws great numbers. You have to select a movie which should be appropriate for the age group of the school goers that are going to attend. It should also entertain them. This would ensure that they go home satisfied. A movie show would need some good organization and advertising skills. You need to decide on a comfortable location and timing.

After you have selected the film, you would need to advertise and sell the tickets. You would need to make arrangements for snacks and cold drinks on the venue. This would also ensure significantly higher returns. Make sure that the area is cleaned and equipment set up in time. You should also check the print of the movie and the equipment long enough before the show, so that you would be able to replace them if they are found out to be defective.

During the show itself you would need some people who can conduct the screening, manage the audience and look after the snacks and cold drinks stalls. You can make this a monthly or weekly event, depending upon its feasibility.

Popcorn/ Lemonade Stands

Popcorn is a tempting snack, especially during the break or after a long tiring day; the same goes for lemonade. They are affordable to set up and can fetch good profits. Moreover, they are always guaranteed to sell out, well maybe, except lemonade, which may not find takers in the cold winter months! So you could substitute it with hot chocolate drinks during that time.

There is no dearth of great school fundraising ideas. A complete listing of all such ideas would probably fill a whole book! What you need to do is keep things simple and ensure that people have fun.

Meticulous planning is very important for the success of any school fundraising program. You would need to plan in such a way that students have maximum fun and you must also be prepared for any uncalled for incident. Price your services reasonably, and have a good team of people to manage the program. You would need students who are able to sell stuff and handle crowds as well. If you ensure all this, you would surely be able to organize successful school fundraising programs that raise substantial funds.
