If for some reason beyond your control, you suddenly find yourself head a a <a href="http://www.greatcharitywork.com/youthgroupfundraisers.php" target="_blank" title="youth group fundraisers">youth group fundraiser</a>, don't panic.  With a little bit of effort, you can avoid some serious problems down the road. Here are a few tips that will help you have a successful youth fundraiser: 1. Know your market. Don't try selling high priced wrapping paper to the Dollar Store crowd. You have to know your community in general and think about what others have done in the past.  The economy has tanked and will be stagnate on Main Street for the foreseeable future. People want to donate but simply don't have the money to spend on items that really have no immediate value. That means once its set up, they do the work. 2. Big productions are a hassle but payoff in the end. Set a time for the forms or bills to be turned in at least 5 days before the actual due date. This does cut some time off but if you can't get the forms turned in or bills that need to be accounted for, you will not know how much money was actually made.
