Braeg has worked in the Kitchen Appliances industry for over 10 years. He specializes in Bosch Appliances
Bosch washing machines are available with 4.5kg, 6kg, 7kg, 8kg and 10kg load capacities so there should be a model available no matter what wash load is required- from single households to large families.
Bosch also manufactures combined washer dryers and separate tumble dryers. The washing machines and the washer dryers are available as freestanding or built in appliances and the tumble dryers are available only as freestanding.
As with most of Bosch’s appliances, Bosch washing machines come in three ranges: Classixx, Exxcel and Logixx. The Classixx range is the most basic that Bosch has to offer, but still practical. The Exxcel selection has mid-range specification and the Logixx models are top of the range high specification Bosch washing machines.
Despite the Classixx models in the Bosch selection being the most basic, they are still rated A+ for energy efficiency which is good news with the current rise in fuel prices threatening to raise our energy bills and our wallets.
When comparing the best model within each of the Bosch washing machine ranges, it is easy to see that the Logixx range has far more features and programmes than the Classixx range, although the extra features do come with a heftier price tag. Some of the models within the Logixx range have a maximum spin speed of 1600rpm, which is good knowing British summers as we do and means that if it rains, it should not take long to dry off inside after a spin.
The Logixx washing machines also have an 8kg capacity as standard, which is great for large families. Some of the Logixx Bosch washing machines have a 10kg wash load capacity and include an anti-crease function to make ironing less of a chore. And everything can be washed at once with the mixed load programme, taking the inconvenience out of sorting washing into separate piles. The Logixx models are the only Bosch washing machines that include the SoftSurge drum system that is designed to give better cleaning results, as well as greater protection for washing.
All of Bosch’s washing machines have a cold- fill function, which saves energy by heating only as much water as it needs to do the job. This particular feature is also available with Performance Enhance, which is designed to assist with the removal of stains. They also have a very quiet noise level, so you can still watch the television in the next room without being disturbed.
There are 15 ‘clothes care’ programmes on all of Bosch’s washing machines, but there are also some special features including some programmes specifically designed for people with sensitive skin and allergy sufferers such as the sensitive programme and the Aqua Plus programme. The sensitive programme reduces the exposure to allergens that irritate sensitive skin and the Aqua Plus option gives clothes extra rinses during a normal wash and rinse cycle. This option does use a higher water level though, so be aware of using this one too often if you are watching your carbon footprint!
