Giving Your Kitchen A Complete Makeover...And Doing It On A Low Budget At That--Flooring: Phase Seven

You've chosen a warm and inviting color for your kitchen walls and you complimented the walls color with a lovely matching pastel for your ceiling...and it looks great. Your cabinets are handsome and captivating and the countertops and backsplash are simply beautiful. It's been a long journey but just look at it all; all the hard work; all the sweat and frustration, and what about all the time and labor that you expended to get this kitchen to this point. Wow! It's almost unbelievable--to think, it was only a few weeks ago this same old kitchen was worn, outdated and down right depressing. But just look at it now, look and admire your own handy  work and just take a moment and congratulate yourself again. You deserve it  kid and you deserve to enjoy this wonderful new kitchen along with your family, friends and love ones.

But our work is not completed just yet, we are at the point now where we must install new flooring. That's right. Now that is something to really get excited about. Whatever it was that you had on your flooring previously: linoleum, sheet vinyl, planks, vinyl tiles, or whatever; its time to begin the installation of the new flooring. With all of the old flooring completely removed during demolition--phase one, we are now ready to ascertain what we will be installing and how much it will take to complete the job.

Remember, kitchens are put under more stress and duress than any other area in your home. Kitchens must endure some harsh elements--daily: steam, high heat, moisture, hot water, oil and grease...and plain old foot traffic--and a lot of it at that. So whatever flooring you choose to install be sure that it is the type and quality of flooring that can take the punishment and still come out looking good--day after day. Overall, a good quality flooring should give you many, many years of good wear; so go ahead and spend the extra money to ensure that you will have a quality floor that will last for years to come.
