Decorate your yard with solar lights

It’s been a long hard winter in a large portion of the country.  There’s been a lot of snow and cold and now, finally the weather is improving.   Soon we can start going out into the yard and start preparing it for the times we will be spending there.

There are many ways we can change our outdoor décor.   After we’ve cleaned up the entire residue from the preceding season, we can start arranging any plants or shrubbery that may need to be moved.   There’s nothing saying that the yard needs to be a replay of what it looked like last year.  We can use a little imagination and re-arrange, or even replace what no longer appeals to you.

There are many things you can add to make your yard more attractive.  You can add a pond, a water fall, a flower bed, a new tree, a shrub or even some yard ornaments.   All these add a little more character to your yard.

A final touch to any landscaping project is lighting.  Depending on how your yard is setup, hard wiring may not be easy to do.   It may be because of where the power source is or maybe it’s just too large of an area, or because of the lay of the land it’s not easy to run wires.     The solution to this all is solar lighting.

Solar lights offer a great deal of flexibility in where you place your lights.  You take them out of the box, assemble them and place them in the area you want lit.  Because they run on rechargeable batteries that are charge by a solar panel, you do have to locate them where you get a least a few hours of sun during the day.   That is the only limitation you have with solar lights.

Solar lights come in many different styles, shapes, colors and materials.   There come in pathway lights, spot lights and a large variety of unique novelty lights.   If you shop around, you are sure to find just the right  for you.

Jerome Sturgeleski is an avid outdoors person and loves to stay out in his yard after dark. He lives in Minnesota so time outdoors is limited to just a few months of the year. After completing a landscaping project he thought the must be a way to light it up so he could enjoy in on those evenings out. He added some solar lights and liked it so well that he decided to start a website and sell solar lights so others could also add them and enjoy their outdoor spaces well into the evening. He started a website in May of 2005 called http://www.solarlightspro.com to allow people to see what types that are available.
