You could however speak to them with your hands by using simple gestures. Now imagine actually knowing sign language. You open up a whole new language for yourself. You can communicate with people that cannot hear. You can even teach a baby to sign before they can actually speak.
ASL opens up a whole new world of speaking. It is easy to learn and a great way to communicate with the deaf community. It can also be used to teach babies to communicate before they can speak. There are just so many reasons why you should learn sign language.
