Can UK Workers Claim Compensation For Work Accident?

An industrial worker in the United Kingdom recently died after he fell from the defective roofing system of the factory where he was working. Another worker tripped while working as a packer in one of the juice factories in the UK resulting to spinal injuries. These and similar accidents are real and they are happening in UK.

If you or someone you know figured in an accident at work, you may be entitled to an accident compensation for any injury you may have suffered as a result of the accident. It does not matter how light or severe the injuries arising from an accident at work, you must never keep quiet and suffer the financial, physical and emotional consequences of such injury.

Accident happening at work is a common problem even in the UK where the law imposes strict rules on work safety standards. While the UK authorities are bent on providing safe work environment for its human resources, it is a sad fact that accidents at work still do happen.

The solicitor can guide the injured worker into translating the circumstances of the work accident into paper for legal purposes.

The number of work accidents in the UK is on the rise and even the trade unions are continuously demanding for stronger work safety provisions. While there are existing laws on the provision of a safe working environment for the workers, there is however a need to toughen these laws as well as the penalties for violations of these provisions.

The work accident compensation claim that may be awarded to any UK worker who has been injured in a work accident can be limited to his medical expenses alone. If he can no longer continue working because of the injuries suffered after the work accident, then the compensation can be greater as it can include loss of inc
