We the people of India are lucky that we could attain independence and then we are again luky that we could attain demoracy as of way of governing this country. Now there is no Raja, no Maharaja, no Monarch and no Imperialist. we are electing our own governments and we have further designated the people so elected as our Public Servants. Though we could not attain fulfledged democracy because the people so elected by us are not from amongst us and when they are elected and they do not work for the welfare of the people. But still we are happy that we are electing them and they are not coming to occupy the seats of power without our consent. It is on record that since adoption of this constitution in 1950 we are electing our government and they work for five years and they are again before us demanding our votes.
In spite of adopting democracy, we had to face 'Family Rule' and then we had to face 'Party Dictatorship'. There had been a time when we had to face ;Individual Autocracy'. We had been suffering because such units are against the princiuples of democracy, but since we had been slaves for centuries, we are still taking time to learn the art of living in a democracy. We are still experiencing such difficulties, because uptil now we are not in a position to elect competent people for governing us and that is the reason most of the people so elected by us are not working for our welbeing, but are working for lthe welfare of their own families and the wealth created by the people is being snatched away by these people who are given power to serve us.
Time has come when there is no family rule, noparty dictatorship and there is no inedividual autocracy in India. We have rooted out these units through our vote-power and now the parties are obliged to have alliances and they are governing this country through these alliances. We are passing through period of alliances, but when we saw breaks in alliance during the tenure, we are sorry to note that there are breaks in governments and for some time we have to go on without a valid government. This aprocess is bad and at times we have to conduct fresh general elections and subject the people to big losses in money, time and energy because fresh elections are a great bordon on the state exchequer.
We should avoid all these contingencies and if need be we should amend the law. The political parties be asked to make alliances before elections and once they have come beefore the people through alliances, they should not be allowed to break this alliance after the election and once there is an alliance government, that must continue for full five year term and the parties joining the alliance should not be allowed to break this alliance during the tenure of government and they must remain in the alliance till next general elections. We shall have to adopt this law because elections within the tenure is not a healthy process. People have given their verdict and this verdict must be accepted and honoured by the people who are elected and they should not be allowed to withdraw from the alliance during the tenure of the Government.
We kinow that because of these breaks in alliances, or a fear of such breaks, the government remains under such threats and such governments are not in a position to function properly. We, are not a rich country and therefore, we should not allow our public servants to play havoc with us by breaking the alliance or withdrawing from the alliance. Once there is a decision of alliance, that decision must be final and none should be allowed to disturb this alliance and even the people in oppositions should not try to break this alliance during the tenure of five years. Let this be the law in our country.

DUI and Constitutional Rights
By: Courtney Shipe | 01/01/2010Drunk driving is a politically incorrect topic. People are unanimously opposed to it both morally and socially. Nearly every religion in the world has ordinances and warning against intoxication and drunkenness. The fact remains, drunk drivers are a danger to themselves and others, causing a huge number of fatal accidents. However, the inherent wrongness of drunk driving does not mean we should allow the erosion of constitutional rights.
