So what is a power of attorney form? A power of attorney form is a document not necessarily created by a lawyer. This is a document that says that you are authorizing someone (this usually a close friend or a relative) to act on your behalf. They are authorized to deal in your absence. But then again, if you are capable of making decisions on your own, it only means that you are sharing the power with your chosen agent.
This power of attorney form can be revoked any time, if and when you think that you find that person’s job unacceptable. You can always assign a new person, and always revoke said power of attorney whenever you think it is needed.

However, please bear in mind that when you finally decide to fill up the said form, you must state all the things that you want your agent to do for you, in your absence. For this to be effective, the principal must be competent enough to give this kind of authority. This also needs to be notarized by a public attorney. You can give a copy to your agent, but it is advised that you also have your own copy; this is for your protection in the end.
