When I worked in my last workplace we got a letter one day saying that there are asbestos sheets in the ceiling of our room (the whole building, actually), and that they were going to paint them in order to protect us from the asbestos. I didn't pay much attention to it, but I talked to a friend of mine today and he mentioned something about asbestos being very dangerous. I read about it a bit, and I'm not sure I have a reason to worry: I worked there for three years, and I think they painted the asbestos sheets about two years after I started.
