Employee Awards What Are They

Before you decide that you would like to try using employee awards, you first must figure out what they are and what you can use them for. In order to be sure that you have made the best decision when it comes to your employee awards, you are going to want to think about the awards and what, exactly, they do.

What Are They

When you are looking at employee awards, you are looking at small tokens that you can give to your employees that will recognize the things that they have done for you. This is different than giving them a monetary bonus, because it is actually giving them something that they can hold, display, and be proud of. Many times, employees that get employee awards are going to display them and show them off to their friends, family, and co workers. They are real awards, usually glass engraved awards or green marble awards, and they can be collected, displayed, and stored.

What Are They Given For

There are many different things that employee awards are going to be given for. The most important thing to think about when giving employee awards is what you want to accomplish. Then, you will try to reward the people who show exactly what it is that you want to do - in the hopes that the other employees will strive for that, and that the employee who wins will continue to do that as well.

You can reward just about anything with employee awards. For instance, if you have a sales company, you can award top sellers in order to provide an incentive for all of your employees to sell more. If you have a business that caters to customers, you can award the best customer service representatives so that they know you appreciate it and as an incentive for the rest of your employees to be just as good at customer service. One of the most important things for you to do is to decide what is important to you, and then reward it.

When an employee gets employee awards, they are going to feel that you really do appreciate what they have been doing .This is going to do a lot for them, and for you First of all, it will encourage the employee to work harder to get the employee awards again. It will also encourage other employees to work harder, so that they can get the award too. Lastly, it will create an atmosphere where employees feel that they are rewarded for the good work that they do. This will make them happier, and make them more likely to work harder for you. Happier employees in general are going to be better for your business, and so you want to do all that you can to make your employees happy. Providing employee awards is one of the best ways for them to realize that you care, and that the job you offer is worth giving their very best.

Microsoft Office 2010 Moves to the Cloud

By: Sparxoo | 20/11/2009
When Canadian company i4i sued Microsoft this past August, watchdogs in the software community predicted that the move would encourage Microsoft to bring up their plans for a move to cloud computing much earlier than planned – and it looks like they were right. In addition to the announcements of a new and improved version of Internet Explorer and a major update of the Silverlight runtime platform at this week’s Microsoft at the…

What I Admire In A Good CEO

By: Spicer Matthews | 18/11/2009
I have to admit, I am a CEO stalker. Not in the creepy sit outside their house kinda of way. However, I must admin I did drive by Warren Buffet’s office and house a few time. When I say I am a stalker I am more of an admirer. I am someone that loves getting inside the mind of a great CEO (or CEO type person). I read as much as I can about them, I watch all the interviews, I track the performance of their companies and more. Some CEO’s are very hard to follow and some are very easy to follow.

Focused and Effective Coaching

By: Be! Coaching | 18/11/2009
I read a couple of books lately that have really inspired me. One is The Jackrabbit Factor by Leslie Householder. This is a great story about a guy who is depressed about his life as he is dealing with the very common, difficult situations we all experience at some point. He finds himself in a strange sort of dreamland where people are scrambling around in what appears to be the “rat race” of life.
