How Do Leaders Become Inspirational Speakers

Leaders in my view are not born to be inspirational speaker; one can’t say they are made either. But, rather a process of experienced transformations that creates a particular consciousness. A consciousness that has a social connection with a philosophical based that in essence, forms a deep rooted opinion. Most inspirational speakers that hold leadership positions have numerous causes that drive them toward a particular vision which they themselves aspire.

President Ronald Reagan for example held firm with his philosophy of holding the Soviet Union true to peace in the world. In his view he felt that democracy and freedom was the political world system that best described an economic environment of progress. Having met President Reagan three times in my lifetime I can personally attest to his delivery of his speeches. He was inspiring, motivating left one feeling a great sense of security and progress. He without a doubt a great communicator and communicated his message often.  President Reagan was ahead of his time and to a large extent we continue to enjoy many of the fruits of his administration. We are speaking of a man who brought the cold war to an end without firing a bullet. The eight years of his administration brought progress technologically, economically, militarily and an American way of life a certain sense of security.

Leaders Value their theories they are convinced based on their research and/or their cause that order for people be lead they much convey a powerful message. They must be able to motivate other; they must be able to interact with a mindset inclusive of foresight. It is gut wrenching, it is heartfelt is has meaning to the very core of unbelievable proportion.

We obliviously all can’t be like Presidents or like a Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. but, if one can be convinced about a certain cause and have a true sincere belief about a product, or a certain direction of a social political view then a strong sense of direction is formed.  Be clear about your message and your subject matter. Understand thoroughly your subject and know your audience. Understand as much as possible the thinking of your audience and hold true to your personal philosophy as people will always respect your commitment to a cause – whatever it is.

As you continue to develop yourself and seek to convey your message which will have the implications of progress that will have an impact on your audience and or your clients then be prepared to be a learner as the learning process for such a skills is a journey of longevity skill development.
