Many have said that the golden era, of the American industrial explosion took place during the economic transformation while the above mentioned industrial leaders were in the forefront of security their name in American history. One may asked, what made them click and what explanation do we have about their leadership characteristics, that made them the men they were. Perhaps timing is an issue of consideration however, let’s not forget true commitment to leadership and the drive to be accomplishers of products for the American consuming public. The interest of what drove these great leadership entrepreneurs was so prevalent that one of them Andrew Carnegie commissioned a special study on the subject matter of what they all had in common and what made them tick. That study was conducted by Napoleon Hill which produced a widely read popular book “Think and Grow Rich”. Though Napoleon Hill made numerous discoveries in his book, which has been read by hundreds of thousands, his fundamental findings were that these men were driven by the need to: Lead, to influence others, to succeed at all cost, to be productive in a conglomerate level and to be thought of as bona fide humanitarians. Napoleon Hill further stated "What the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve”, this is a key factor when leading. One must always have the confidence that success is inevitable when one has faith in: themselves, faith in their work and faith with the people they are leading.
Leaders need to stay focus with their particular vision as they are the ones who must be able to see the future. They need to be forecaster, planners and implementers of their dreams.
