Writer in the Making. Hoping to have something published one day. More to come.
I had for ages been scouring all the local newspapers looking for this particular house which I had by now got firmly fixed in my head.
Somehow I knew that it would present itself, my only fear was that when it did someone else might also like it.
Oh dear I must not lose faith, I must believe in myself as somehow I knew this house would come along and be mine.
And then I also had to remember I didn't want to move far from where I lived I wanted to be near all of my friends and all of my family.
Then one day," Lo and Behold."
Wonders never cease there it was, advertised in the local newspaper, the house of my dreams, "there it was right in front of my eyes.
And believe it or not I knew this house well, because as children we all had gone there at sometime or another.
We all had gone to this old house to visit the two elderly ladies who had lived there
for what seemed for ever.
They were very kind, and would let us play in there lovely garden where they kept a big pile of sand for us children to play and dig in and a load of buckets and spades.
We all went to visit the two elderly ladies who had lived there for what seemed to be for ever, they loved us to visit they liked our company and always made us welcome.
They were kind to us and they often gave us something to eat, usually a buttered scone with loads of jam or a slice of chocolate cake, they were great scone and
cake makers as well as wonderful cooks, at least that was what we believed.
I remembered this old house so well even from all those years back.
The house was large it had six big bedrooms, a large kitchen and a scullery, a huge dining room, and two sitting rooms.
From the spacious hallway ran the fine staircase leading to the upstairs landing, and from there ran the long passage from where the bedrooms and the generous bathroom were situated.

My Mother
By: Herpha Jane Obod | 05/11/2009Many times we look for love. We sacrifice; we triumph; we conquer; we beg; we strive; we hope; we do everything just for love. But sometimes in our quest for love, we tend to forget there is someone who loved us, keeps loving us, and will always love us.
Ballad in the Night
By: Herpha Jane Obod | 05/11/2009Distance could never separate two hearts that beat as one. True love grows not only in the presence of two people who deeply loved each other. Even in the absence of a person dearly loved, the heart can find its way to heaven, reach the stars, and command the wind to reunite two hearts. For a heart that truly loves knows no distance, space, or time. It only knows how to love.
The Writing of Good Omens
By: Alison Davidson | 04/11/2009This article isn't quite a review of the novel "Good Omens" by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman, it's mostly a biography of how the book was written. I discuss the backgrounds of each author, the novel's early and recent reception, and the logistics of co-writing a work of fiction.
