you are my sunshine, my joy!
In every tear; every sigh; every pain that I bear,
you gave your shoulders to cry on and ease my burdens away.
Behind every step of determination; every leap of enthusiasm,
you gave me faith.
For every wounded knee; every broken heart;
you taught me lessons only you can impart.
With every hunger of my soul; when loneliness surrounded me,
your love embraced me and would never let go.
There's never a time that you abandon me,
not a single minute nor a second that you left my side.
We played as partners in the game of life -
its ups and downs,
twists and turns...
