Choose a recording format and writing tools that suits you. I found that a small notebook works the best for me. I can take it everywhere and thus is constantly aware of what I had eaten. You may also note specific goals that you have reached. This is great for motivating you to keep going.

At the end of the day I take my notebook to my PC and record everything in a excel spreadsheet. After a week, you can already see your eating patterns. This information is a powerful tool in your hand. Because you can now take decisions on what you have learned about yourself.

To have success with a fat burning diet you need to seek the best ways that fits your personality. Do not try to be somebody else. You are a unique person. You alone know what is best for you.
