Third, you want to stick to eating healthy fats such as those that are derived from eating nuts, various different seeds and olive oil. You also want to make sure your diet includes whole grain products and that you eat lots of vegetables and salads.
Fourth, it is essential that your diet includes healthy low fat and low calorie proteins. Chicken, turkey and fish are great sources of protein with a lower fat count. Limit the amount of red meat and processed meats that you eat.
Fifth, eat smaller meals and eat more frequently. This will speed up your metabolism aiding in your ability to burn calories.
Sixth, you want to plan ahead so that you have the right foods available to you for meals and snacks. You never want to go grocery shopping when you are hungry.
Seventh, exercise dieting alone is not enough to shed those pounds. Exercising doesn't mean that you have to kill yourself. Find something you enjoy doing and do it. The secret is to do it regularly. Something as simple as walking can get rid of those extra pounds. Keep your body moving. Take the stairs instead of the elevator. When you go to the mall park a little further away. Walk whenever you can. Find yourself a walking buddy.
Lastly, if you find it difficult to diet alone get involved with a support group. There are many of them available for free or at very little expense. Besides shedding those extra pounds you can make some new friends.
