Starting from the impact of this industry and industry organizations are required to improve the accountability of environmental conservation. Under these circumstances, the world's demands for accountability regulations and industry organizations in environmental management to be improved. Environmental conservation has become a demand from customers in developed countries are aware of the importance of environmental protection carried out since the early to minimize environmental damage in the future, then berdasarkana international agreement in 1996, the International Organization for Standardization released a standard for managing in professional environments in the organization and industry, standards are called Environmental Management System ISO 14001:1996. But look at today's industrial development, in the year 2003 made revisions to the system and launched in 2004. Standard is hereinafter referred to as ISO 14001:2004. ISO 14001:2004 is built on the basis of elements - elements that define: 1. Specifications aspect and environmental impact 2. Procedures and work instructions are accurate 3. Consistent process 4. Compatibility with organizational goals and targets to improve environmental performance 5. Minimasi waste 6. Linkage with the rules and regulations 7. Consistency of results, the application of honesty and thorough product descriptions 8. Performance evaluation 9. Health and safety of workers 10. Communications to the parties - the parties involved environmental protection ISO 14001:2004 is a dynamic management system, which can be applied with the quality management system ISO 9001:2000 and can be adjusted to the change in the organization and industry, changes in regulations / laws in force and changes in science and technology.
