Mannequin Impact

Your investment in mannequins is truly an important one. Mannequins impact your store image as well as the money that you see coming in. Customers are intrigued by displays involving mannequins. The clever use of mannequins can entice customers to come into your store and take a closer look.

The trick is to have your mannequins seem as lifelike as possible. Choose high quality mannequins with distinct features that make them look real. If you can give the illusion that a real person is standing in your front window or in your store, then you’ve accomplished what you wanted. People will have to take a closer look to find out if the mannequin is real or not. The more realistic the mannequin, the more captivating it will be.

Consider mannequins models for your product. Supermodels make a lot of money showcasing clothing lines for top designers. There’s a reason that models are in such high demand. They exude something that we all wish we could be. They make clothes look great. They make new fashions look interesting and desirable. If you don’t have live models, mannequins are the next best thing.

Once you’ve purchased your lifelike mannequins, make them seem alive. Give movement to your displays. Mannequins standing and doing nothing interesting don’t seem very lifelike. If they are arranged in a way that makes them look active, then it gives movement to your display. For example, a mannequin surfing a wave wearing the new swimsuit for the season has a much higher impact than a mannequin just standing there wearing the swimsuit. Having your mannequins exhibit human emotion can really impact people’s way of thinking.

Making your displays interesting can be a lot of fun. Come up with ideas relevant to the products that you are promoting. The creative process isn’t something that you have to go in on alone. Hold a contest for your employees to come up with the best window display ideas. Better yet, hold a contest for your customers. It will peak their interest and get them involved. This personalizes your relationship with your customers. With a staff contest, it keeps employees from getting bored with their work. Putting them in competition with each other can boost store morale and help them feel like their presence in the store has a real effect on the business. Implement ideas from customers and employees often and your ever changing store front will have a big impact on potential customers.

Remember to keep life in your displays. Movement, even if it’s implied, encourages people to investigate. Go ahead and invest in the best and highest quality mannequins you can find. The investment will pay off. Don’t underestimate the influence that you have on the way that people think, feel and spend their money. Mannequins can really shape the way that people feel about your store and your products. Go all out on your mannequins and you should reap the benefits very soon.
