Use Mannequins for Summer Displays

Successful retail stores know that mannequins can greatly increase their sales. This could not be truer than it is in the summer months. Mannequins add life to your store displays. They give your customers a tangible object to relate to.

Consumers need to be able to identify with a certain style and even brand. Their self-image has a lot to do with their clothing and accessories. Mannequins give a visual definition of what an outfit will look like on, but it does not stop there.

Mannequins can be used by store owners to promote a new product, that is a known fact. You can use mannequins to promote multiple items at once. Your mannequins do not only wear clothes or swimsuits, but also sunglasses, hats, jewelry, watches, shoes and handbags. The mannequin is a unique display that draws a lot of attention, but you probably have already figured that out. What you may not know is how much of a bearing it has on your customer’s thoughts and feelings about your store image.

Mannequins can have a direct impact on what a customer feels your store offers. If you are using mannequins for summer window displays then you are in luck. Most women only buy one bathing suit per year. They put a lot of thought into what style they want. There is not another single item that they wear as many times as their swimsuit. This is why it is very important to get that initial sale from your customer. You want them to identify with your swimsuit over all other bathing suits in the mall. Use your mannequins to achieve this goal.

Using a mannequin to display a swimsuit is a very smart idea. It personalizes a product and shows your customers not only what the swimsuit may look like when it is being worn, but also it helps to create a mood and attitude about each suit.

Consider setting up your window display to match the style of the suit. If it is a one-piece solid color, you may want a cruise ship theme to help people envision themselves relaxing with a drink on something as luxurious as a cruise ship. Bikinis in fun colors might call for a beach scene or a party by the pool. This can be especially effective for selling the accessory cover-ups that match the bathing suit. For sporty suits, you may decide to depict a beach volleyball scene that shows how versatile and durable the suit is.

Whatever you decide, mannequins are sure to help boost your summer sales.
