Used Gondola Shelving

Used gondola shelving is the most inexpensive way to create great store layouts in not so great times. If you make a reasonable investment in quality, painted, used gondola shelving, people will immediately tell the difference when they walk out of your competitors' and into yours. Your used gondola shelves will help you merchandise your very best and most important products in positions of prominence where they have the best chance of being noticed by Christmas shoppers. No doubt you have already placed the hottest items on special, so maximizing your showcasing power can significantly improve your sales this year. It's all about space management and planning at the end of the day. You don't have to spend a fortune on used gondola shelves-just enough to create new layouts and presentations that will put your highest dollar opportunities in the best possible place to move them out the door and turn a profit.

You can order used display units from two major categories of gondola shelving.

Double sided used gondola shelves are also called aisle shelves. They are the shelves that run vertically through your floor space and create aisle for foot traffic and shopping. It is easier to move these shelves than it is single sided units placed back to back, so you can alter your layout for seasonal sales at will with minimum downtime.

Single sided shelves are better used as wall shelves and end caps. Placing one of these used gondola shelf units at the end of every aisle unit puts an extra punch in your sales merchandising by placing what you most want to sell right there in front of the aisle for everyone to notice. Placing these single sided gondola displays along the wall also turns otherwise useless space into marketing space.

Again, it is necessary that you plan your layout first to get the most out of the gondola shelves you intend to use. If you are too busy, email us pictures of our stores and our staff will plan a merchandising layout for you to include with your quote. We will also customize any and all of the units you order today to fit your exact space management needs.

Investing in better shelving can also help you with loss prevention. You already know that how you arrange your shelving plays a key role in making it possible for employees and surveillance cameras to monitor the honesty and character of your customers. What is equally important to the layout of your gondola shelves is the actual size of the displays you use. Our experience in retail display supply has taught us over time that the ideal height for an aisle shelf is 72-84 inches. Anything higher creates too much of an obstruction. Keep in mind that the items you place on the top shelf also have to be factored into the total height, so most of the units we have sold this year have been 72" or even less. This provides plenty of stock room and still allows you to see what is going on. Each individual shelf on a gondola display can hold approximately 350 lbs in weight, and shelf height and depth can be adjusted to accommodate large items and to maximize display lighting.
