Traffic is the term used to describe the number of active visitors that go in and out of your website. They read your content, buy your products when interested, and maybe even leave a comment or two on any of the articles you have posted in your website.

b. ROI (Return on Investment) of search engine optimization can be astounding.
c. Long-term (Recurring) results: As long as you're at the top #10, traffic is pouring to your website
2) Pay per Click Advertising
Pay per Click advertising has several major players:
- Google AdWords
- Yahoo Search Marketing
- YouTube Sponsored Videos
- Facebook Ads
These are ads that are going to cost you money but generate a lot of traffic. These websites have over a billion active users all together, so just imagine how much traffic you can get just by having a few pay-per-click ads displayed in these websites.
This tool is also very useful when one does marketing research and testing for all kinds of products and new websites.
3) Video Marketing
There are certain keys to success when utilizing video marketing for your website. The formula is actually very simple:
- Create interesting videos with great content (tips, trick, advice, etc)
- Create short videos (1-3 mintes)
- Upload to multiple video sites
- Use automated submission tools like TubeMogul
By maximizing these four keys in video marketing, you can expect a huge amount of traffic entering your website almost everyday. The best places to work on this are YouTube, Google Video, DailyMotion, MySpace, etc. You may have to pay to use these websites for video marketing, but the results are astounding.
