Getting Lucky In Your Mortgage Business
We have all seen it...every now and then someone gets really lucky. It could be someone just like you or I that come up with a truly great idea and before you know it; they're rolling in tons of money. And yes...people do win lotteries, don't they?
Luck, however, has nothing to do with operating your own successful mortgage business. There's no doubt about it, a lucky break here and there might add a few dollars to your bottom line and a seemingly unpredictable negative happening might cost you a little bit. Overall though, happenings like this are tiny blips on your mortgage marketing radar and are short lived. Your success or failure in the mortgage business won't be a matter of luck.
Instead it's a matter of your commitment, investment and, a willingness to make it happen. Here are seven (7) ways you can change and influence your success:
1. You have to invest effort,
2. You have to invest in your education,
3. You have to invest time into your business,
4. You have to invest in your personal development,
5. You have to invest money in the right tools for your business,
6. You have to invest in the new technologies to perpetuate your business and,
7. You have to invest in relationships with your prospects and your business affiliates.
This cash and sweat equity that you invest are what really builds the foundation for your mortgage success, not chance, and certainly not luck.
If you're waiting for a lucky break to make you rich, you don't need to have a mortgage business. You might as well work in a nine-to-five job some where and set aside a portion of your check for lottery tickets if your plan for success is based on luck.
Every one of us who is trying to develop a successful mortgage business needs to worry less about luck and more about work, consistency and persistence. Luck is not apart of any business plan. Chance does not dictate the results of your mortgage marketing.
Those who reach their goals do so because they combine dedication, information, goals, planning and motivation with their effort. They don't worry about whether they'll get lucky and they don't look for shortcuts, quick fixes and, get rich schemes to make it happen.
Yes...we all enjoy a little good luck. If the question is...who has to take out the trash or pick up a lunch bill...and, it comes down to a coin flip, we all want to win. Luck is a fine thing when it runs in your direction. It does not, however, make or break a mortgage business.
