Online Marketing and the Fallibility of Homo Sapiens

Why are so many people drawn to online marketing? Is it the illusion that it is easy money, or a place where you just set up a web page and the money rolls into your bank account while you are vacationing on the beach or driving with your beautiful new sports car into the sunset?

There are some serious misconceptions about online marketing that are sold to unsuspecting buyers, but it is so far removed from the truth that just believing in the suggestion is enough to make you question the fallibility of the entire human race. To top it off these statements are sold for the truth. Good thing though they all have the tiny little link at the bottom of the page, that very few people see, linking to the disclaimer where it is stated in more legal terms that they are actually ‘lying’. The word lying is used for the lack of a better descriptive word.

There are many scams artists on the internet just out to make a quick buck from anyone susceptible at a specific time. Many people have been caught out and have lost money to these scams stealing hard earned money off unsuspecting people.

But there are just as many legitimate business opportunities on the internet where many people have now been able to create a full time online income and many more part time earning a good extra income. Then of course there is also the personal joy of success and owning your own business and being your own boss.

The challenge remains however to distinguish between the reality and illusion.

Finding these opportunities is not as hard as many would like you to believe. We always hear of things going bad, but very seldom hear of things going well. Just look at the news, on TV, radio and in the newspapers. Bad news dominates the headlines. Have a look for yourself and see if you can spot the good news. The only place you will find it is at the back end of the paper or at the end of the newscast as a ‘oh and by the way this nice thing happened, make sure to catch us tomorrow night at the same time’. Good news is mostly used to fill a little bit of open space.

A good opportunity is not something that comes along once in a lifetime either, it is always knocking at your door, you must just open your eyes and see it for what it is, an opportunity not another obstacle in your path.

There are a few guides which you need to look at before deciding on which online opportunity is best for you. There is no such thing as ‘get rich quick’, except for winning the lotto or striking it rich while gambling. None of the rich people on this planet who have made it on their own woke up rich one morning out of the blue. They had a vision, a plan and it took time and hard work to get to where they are today. Opportunity knocked on their doors to, they saw it and took action.

Some things will take more time than others and some people will reach their goals quicker than others, it is just the way life is. Making the dream a reality lies within every person. You just have to be willing to take a small risk, see the opportunity when it arrives and act upon it. Then put in the time and effort to make it succeed.
