Promotional Ring Binders - Information About Personalising Bespoke Ring Binders

There is something about the look and feel of a bespoke promotional ring binder. In the UK there are still a few very talented and respected manufacturers of promotional ring binders. They offer a service that you cannot find when purchasing mass-produced Far East imported binders. Most UK manufacturers will let you choose the look, size and feel of the binders you order.

When you are considering ordering corporate ring binders, you should first decide what colour or colours you would like them to be. There are hundreds of different PVC colours available. Your promotional gift supplier should be able to send you colour swatches. Usually, you will be able to find a colour that matches your corporate colour very well. You can also ask for one colour on the outside of the binder and another colour on the inside of the binder. You should take your time when choosing the material as there are a lot of different textures available.

After you have chosen the colour, you should consider which ring mechanism best suites your requirements. There are many different sizes to choose from. If you only need the binders to hold a small amount of paper, you can choose the smallest 10mm ring. For larger amounts of paper there is the massive 65mm ring mechanism. You also need to decide whether you want a two, four or three ring mechanism.

Next you should decide whether you would like the binders to have pockets. Pockets can be welded into the inner side of the front or back cover to hold additional information. You should also decide what colour you would like the pockets to be. Many businesses prefer clear pockets so that you can see the material the pocket contains. Business card pockets are also very popular.

Once the binder has been designed, it is time to decide where and how you would like to brand it. Obviously there is a lot of print area so you can decide if you want a discreet logo in the front bottom right hand corner, for example or if you want your logo printed over the complete outer of the binder. The choice is yours.

Screen printing is still the most popular way to personalise ring binders. It looks great and is ideal for printing solid colour logos. A one to five spot colour logo is no problem at all. If pantone colour matching is important to you, this is the best way to print.

Encapsulating your binders is another popular option. This involves taking a printed sheet of paper and encapsulating it on the front, spine and/or back of the out cover behind a clear plastic overlay. This method is best if you have a full colour logo or colour image you would like to have printed on the outer.

Gold and silver blocking is perfect for those who prefer the more traditional look. Many restaurants use gold or silver blocking to personalise their menus. It really stands out and looks really nice especially when blocked onto a leather like PVC material. Blind embossing is very similar to blocking. In involves stamping your logo or details onto the surface of the folder so that it is heat branded into the material. It is really the same process as blocking but without the foil.
