Online Marketing is the common practice nowadays. Companies utilize the internet in doing business. Standard marketing practice before was through the use of television, radio, magazines, and newspapers only to promote their business. At present times, with the advancement in technology, companies include a web address as well. This practice has helped a lot but there are also some setbacks.

There is no actual interaction between the company and the internet, thus, making it cold and inhuman. The internet is basically dependent on the user. Oftentimes, the website is also faceless making the customers feeling detached. There are a lot of people also who prefer human to human interaction when they purchase. Human contact can never be replaced by a facless salesperson. These customers may have a lot of questions and it can not be readily answered.

Through the advancement of technology, information is readily available anytime and anywhere via the world wide web. A lot of informations are available throught the internet nowadays. There are a lot of good informations but at the same time a lot of bad ones. Because of this it is tough to gauge which ones are true and which ones are not. Distinguishing between the informations is quite hard for the customers. The ones who most widely fall prey are those that are new on the world wide web. Competition is a major factor as well. The surcharge of available information can make the customers quite confused.

A story usually has two sides, just like online marketing which has its own advantages or disadvantages. For some the pros outweigh the cons and at the same time for some it is the other way around. Each option must be carefully evaluated and in the end, it will be for the customer to decide.
