The Value of Custom Exhibits

The value of custom exhibits has long been underestimated by business owners and marketing departments, with many preferring instead to invest in direct marketing and advertising.  However, the advantages of marketing at trade shows extend beyond the direct return on conversions at the event. Particularly during an economic downturn, exhibiting at industry trade shows and related industry events is of critical importance for building and nurturing reputation, along with reaching the right prospects, and networking with the right individuals.  Regardless of the industry in which you operate, there are benefits to be had from attending a trade show, and even more value to be added through your own custom exhibits.

Turning up to trade shows is no longer enough to secure new business and build industry credibility. Trade shows are nothing new, and to leave a lasting impression there is an ever-increasing pressure to have the perfect trade show setup, including a professional grade custom exhibit, to secure those vital new sales leads.  Presentation is key, particularly when first impressions are up for grabs, so it really pays to invest the time and money in creating a professional trade stand that speaks volumes for your business.

The trouble is, many business owners are reluctant to invest in trade show marketing, preferring instead to blow promotional budgets on immeasurable brand advertising that may or may not generate a return.  By diverting a proportion of the marketing budget to trade show investment, you can start making a return on marketing spend, and investing in the long term future of your business through trade show marketing.

The investment in a custom trade show exhibit is often recouped in the first or second trade show event, but certainly over the course of a year any custom trade stand will be worth its weight in gold, building instant credibility and providing an aesthetically pleasing, professional base from which to run your trade show marketing activities.  In the alternative, hiring or leasing a trade show stand can amount to a fairly substantial annual expense, particularly if you’re a frequent trade show attendee, in addition to never quite looking as good as your own custom trade exhibit.

A custom trade stand is vital for creating and maintaining credibility.  Envisage the scenario: you turn up at your next trade event only to find that the competition are there and exhibiting with a professional grade trade display.  Who do you think clients will choose to work with?  The credibility factor is so important, if not just to give your business a fighting chance of competing.  Don’t let your business down – your own custom exhibit is a marketing essential.

Trade show marketing is one of the most effective ways of growing your business, and one of the most cost effective.  But the need for an exhibit stand can often leave businesses turning to low cost or temporary alternatives, which ultimately never quite meet the expectations of new clients.  A one time, manageable investment in a professional grade custom trade show display will pay dividends for years to come, and project the best image of your business to the industry and potential new sales leads.
