Generating web traffic is very important; no web site can survive without a regular flow of web traffic. The web sites need quality traffic. Learning how to generate web traffic is one of the primary things you must do for your internet business.
There are many ways for promoting your web sites. But we don’t have so much time to test or try all of them. Some people will startup their business by buying paid traffic. To my opinion, it’s a risk and not a long term way to generate web traffic. If you pay for web traffic, you may lose money and get no result. So I will suggest you focus on two basic free traffic tactics, and take massive amount of work on them.
1.Article marketing:
You can always use article directories as your marketing tools, because they are totally free. You write an article then submit them to top article directories, the more articles you submit, the more web traffic you will get. If you can come up five articles per day, then you will have more than 100 articles in one month. All of them are like your little salesman, promoting your products or websites 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
In this way, you won’t take risks on losing money. And you can do it after work, in your spare time. You must take huge efforts on writing and submitting articles. Work on article marketing for 6 to 12 months, you will earn passive income in years to come.
2.Take advantage of Web 2.0 trend:
Take advantage of web 2.0 sites like Squidoo, Hubpages, can be another source of traffic generation.
These web 2.0 websites are paying great deal of attention towards maintaining a high page ranking, and search engines love them. You can place your links on the websites; it can help you improve your sites’ page rank. You can place the banner ads of your products. You can also write articles and post on them, it will help you drive targeted traffic from not only the web 2.0 websites themselves, but also from search engines. By taking these steps you will be able to generate traffic towards your web site.
