Keep Them Coming Back

If I bought something from your store today, will you remember to invite me back?

What business owner in their right mind would let their store be a revolving door of continual lost customers?

Invite Them Back!

How?

With an Incentive Program

Incentive Programs are an inexpensive way to keep your customers coming back. If you do not give your customers a reason to keep coming back, guess what – they won’t. Here are some proven Incentive Programs to that will help you Keep Them Coming Back.

Punch Cards

Most of the Coffee Drive-Up Stands in our area us a punch card with 10 punches equaling a free drink or a value savings of 10%. The right product will work with this program as long as the value given makes sense to you and the customer.

Quarterly Company Newsletter with Coupon

If you have a product and service based business that can be a great way to inform your customers of any new products or services you are offering.

Build your product or service around a how to solution based article that will be of benefit to the reader and keep them coming back to you for your expertise. Include a savings coupon of some sort – people love those.

Returning Customer In-store Discounts

I know of one store owner that gives a 20% off discount on all accessories to customers who have purchased their brand of product. This in-store discount keeps old customers coming back month after month and leads to service calls and larger ticket item sales and some times referrals. Using this type of in-store program can lead to multiple benefits.

Classes or Workshops

There is one business in our area that offers free ski tuning classes to their clients and to the general public a couple of times per month just as the snow starts to fall until ski season is over. This company teaches do-it-yourself ski tuning on their brand of ski tuning products for about 45 minutes then they open up the sales floor and tuning shop for sales and service. This incentive program works great for businesses that offer both products and services.

Points or Percentage System – Point of Sales

If you use a POS in your business you can create a points or percentage off program like Fred Meyers uses. When your customers have accumulated $500 dollars worth of purchases they receive an incentive. The incentive can be a dollar value or percentage value of savings.

The point of these Incentive Programs is to pay very little in advertising dollars to keep your current customers coming back or your option is continue to spend maximum advertising dollars. Which makes more sense to you?
