Over the past years, it seems that more and more holidays have been popping up in calendars. People in charge of purchasing promotional items often have to ask themselves if this newly declared holiday or that special event is really a cause for celebration. If you ever find yourself asking: "Should I give my clients something to commemorate this day?" Then it is high time that you start your own calendar of promotional product distribution. The first thing you have to do is to list down all the events that matter to your company and to your market.
It could look something like this:
* New Year's Day - January 1st
* Martin Luther King Day- third Monday in January
* Presidents Day - February 18
* Memorial Day - last Monday in May
* US Independence Day - July 4th
* Labor Day - first Monday in September
* Columbus Day - second Monday in October
* Thanksgiving - fourth Thursday in November
* Veterans Day - November 11
* December Holidays - The entire month of December (covers Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa)
That is only the beginning of a very simple calendar, you could also try adding other widely celebrated observances that are not categorized as federal holidays. Examples include:
* Groundhog Day - February 2
* Lincoln's Birthday - February 12
* Valentine's Day - February 14
* Washington's Birthday - February 22
* Mardi Gras (aka Fat Tuesday) - Tuesday before the start of Lent
* Easter Sunday - varies, end of Lent
* St. Patrick's Day - March 17
* April Fool's Day - April 1
* Earth Day - April 22
* Administrative Professionals Day (National Secretary's Day) - last Wednesday of April
* Cinco de Mayo - May 5
* Mothers' Day - second Sunday in May
* Fathers' Day - third Sunday in June
* Flag Day - June 14
* Parents' Day - 4th Sunday in July
* Grandparents' Day - Sunday after Labor Day
* Halloween - October 31.
Still need more opportunities to send out promotional products? You could help clients mark the change of seasons. Warm wearables like fleece jackets, beenies and sweaters, are great winter gifts. Fun stuff, like beach balls or sunglasses could be sent out during the summer season. Celebrate spring with outdoor products like picnic items or even seed packets and gardening items. Fall signals the beginning of the holiday season, meaning Autum-themed products are great gifts to give as the days to Thanksgiving ticks down. It is also the time for back-to-school jitters for the younger crowd, so notebooks and pens are hot items for this time of the year.
Other events when you could give out promotional products:
* Your company's milestones
* Your company's sponsored events
* Employee recognition events
* Trade shows and conventions
The long and short of it is this: There really is no"right time" to give out promotional products; any day can be a cause for celebration. Remember: receiving a small token from a company or a service provider will always be appreciated by the client.

Dental Practice Marketing: Why Use Free Standing Inserts?
By: Ed OKeefe | 17/12/2009In dental practice marketing, you should find new ideas to be able to post your services to the public effectively. One of the ideas that people resolve to for this is through ordinary advertising, which is nothing new. But there comes a time that such advertisements seem to prove insufficient in the process. Dental practice marketing demands that your readers get the central message that you want to reach out to them as quickly as possible.
Dental Practices : How to Get More Case Acceptance in Your Practice
By: Ed OKeefe | 17/12/2009In dental practices, dentists often have difficulties on how to make their patients accept the dental cases and treatments. I've talked to a lot of people (who are dental patients), who, after I explained what I do for a living, gave me all their questions about dental procedures, and they've been wanting to go to their dentist for such procedures. But they haven't. What could be their reasons for not accepting such dental treatments offered in dental practices?
