Are you a freelance writer looking to make money? In the U.S., thousands if not millions make careers out of freelance writing. In the past there were a limited number of jobs. As the internet grew in popularity, so did the number of ways clients are able to get content. Now, freelance jobs are easily found.
If you need a way to pay some bills, try writing your own PLR articles. Private label Rights means you can change the content and sometimes claim authorship. Articles are the most common form of PLR. It is like ghostwriting but you can write on any subject you want. Clients aren’t needed.
It is a good idea to write on popular subjects since mostly webmasters buy PLR. Original content creates traffic and draws interest, what the website owners are looking to buy. They will only buy topics popular at the time. Be sure to write marketable articles with good keywords. You can find popular keywords by using free keyword tools like Wordtracker. Write an article of 300- 500 words based on 5- 10 keywords. Say your keyword is acne. You find “acne treatment”, “acne remedy”, and “acne cure“, “acne medicine“, and “acne skin care“. You would need to write an article on each keyword.
PLR usually sell in packs of five to ten articles. Set a price for your articles. Don’t sell to high or too cheap. You will also need to set terms. The terms tell buyers what and what not to do with the articles. This means you can permit them to sell the content without resell rights or with resell rights. If you want them only for personal use or don’t want them to change content, say so. You could sell articles in limited packs to increase value and cut competition. Webmasters prefer to change content claiming authorship. , The more rights you offer , the more you can charge.
The next step is to find a buyer. Finding buyers takes time and maybe money. Webmaster forums are good places to start selling. Read terms before posting. You may get results from spending a little on classifieds. No matter where you sell, list the rights and price. You can get others to sell the articles for you and pay commissions.
