One of the way to celebrate one's ending celibate life is through having a bridal shower. The shower will be fun and just for close friends or family. There will be lots of fun as there will be an only girls party.
What should one include in a bridal shower? Well it really depends on what the organizer wants. You should have more supplies and things if you are having a big one.
Should you want to send out invitation for your bridal shower, you can choose a whole range of design to suit the level of formality of your party. The design can depict romantic wedding images as well as mischievous images and messages. Animation can also be employed on your invitation card. Nevertheless, if you just want to go with word of mouth, by all means.
Aside from invitations, other bridal shower supplies are decorations, dining utensils and even bridal shower favors. Just like the wedding, the bridal shower can also be themed - preferably in line with the wedding theme. Decorations include party banners, hats, tendrils, balloons and flowers. Having matching and customized diningware is not compulsory for all bridal showers. However, if this is a chosen path, their designs can always match the ones on the invitations so the theme can be retained.
To get the look for your party, have all the decoration's color matching. Lousy coordination of colors will make your party give others headache. Make sure you have all the important supplies such as balloons, flowers and table cloth. You can also get balloons with custom design and messages like "She's Getting Married" or stuffs similar to that. It can also have impetuous messages printed to flaunt that humorous side of you.
To give out favors for a bridal shower is not imperative. Favors are usually given for a shower with big budgets. Even if you do give out shower favors, they are usually small things that are not in any way associated with the wedding itself. They are ordinary decorative things like hand phone danglers, table runners and coasters. They are just there to make the guest feel good about attending the party.
A couple's 60th wedding anniversary is indeed an event to celebrate. This very momentous celebration is also dubbed The Diamond Jubilee and became popular after Queen Victoria celebrated her 60th wedding anniversary. As per its name, the diamond is traditionally the wedding anniversary gift for this event for various reasons - the main reason being the meaning behind the word "diamond". In Greek, its root word means enduring and unconquerable, which would describe the love shared by a couple celebrating their 60th anniversary. Other reasons include the belief that the fire that helps produce the diamond reflects the fire in the love shared by two people in love with each other.
As for gifts for this once in a lifetime occasion, anything that is associated with diamonds will be the best choice. One can go for jewelry with diamonds like bracelets, pendant, necklace or even photo frames. The color of the occasion is of course diamond white. Flower arrangements and bouquet can be in this color as well. Even flower arrangements with flowers in this shade will make a great present.
Other anniversary gifts may include a photo montage of the family tree depicting the sixty years as a family. The special couple's photo can be highlighted in the middle, surrounded by pictures of other members of the family including the wedding photos of their children and grandchildren. This can be a beautiful memoir of their sixty years of marriage. Other anniversary gifts can be a holiday for two to a beautiful resort or city, or if that is too extravagant, a nice, exclusive dinner at a beautiful restaurant where the restaurant can be informed beforehand of the occasion and possibly supply more celebratory elements, like singing waiters or diamond-shaped cupcakes for two.
In western weddings, to show a couples' commitment to one another and their marriage, they light up wedding unity candles. These candles do more than just symbolizing marriage pledge; they can also be given away as wedding favors.
Naturally, unity candle sets come in threes, consisting two smaller candles and one big one, and are commonly white or ivory-colored. Other unity candles may be some other pastel hues. Candles can be engraved with bridal couple's names or meaningful, significant phrases such as "Forever" or "Love Always". However, there are unity candle sets stamped with more unconventional and potentially comical phrases like "Finally Married (date)". These make terrific wedding souvenirs as they can be displayed over and over again at every anniversary that follows.
Unity candles holder comes in a variety of design. There are some that resembles heart shape, circular pattern, ring shape and cross. During the ceremony, the candles may be placed flat on the table or raised by its holder. Sometime, couples want to give the candle a floating effect by putting them on glass transparent holders.
