Exactly what Happens when the Honeymoon is Over?

It occurs, almost in the wink of an eye, and it occurs every time. The novelty of a fresh relationship eventually wears off. Once you have finished the honeymoon period when it feels as if you and your partner can not bear to be separated from one and other, exactly what occurs then?

When couples have fallen into the regular events of normal life and get occupied with working and bringing up a family, by then the relationship has changed and the honeymoon is just a lovely remembrance of the earlier days. This is not necessarily a negative phenomenon, and it can either go well or not so well.

The Honeymoon is finished

The Honeymoon is a perfectly natural and necessary phase in a relationship, and it never lasts without end. The Honeymoon phase is intended to reinforce a relationship and prepare the way for things to come. If things go well, the natural next period is the bringing up of kids and can be a mutually pleasing encounter when both you and your partner will take pleasure in life's perfectly natural progress by growing nearer as one by sharing the experience.

Now and then though, things can go south once the honeymoon period is over, and is normally when issues like infidelity can come up. Frequently people make the oversight of imagining that the honeymoon period can go on without end, and even though this can be partially true, to an extent, you need go beyond a limiting concept of imagining things should stay as they once were. Life is about transformation and growth, and the changes in life can be enriching, brining you to superior levels of fulfillment. The ironic thing is, we are occasionally hesitant to change and we limit ourselves by hanging onto the past, wanting certain things to remain as they previously were and not as they are, can be or should be.

Is there something I Can Do to Prevent My Partner from engaging in an Affair?

Lets say that you and your partner or spouse have already passed the honeymoon period and the novelty of your relationship has already worn off.  If you begin letting the small things slide, that is when the foundation of your steadfastness to each other may begin deteriorating.

If you are wondering if there is something which you can do to prevent your partner from having an affair, yes, there are certainly things which you can do. None the less, your efforts can only get you so far. Giving importance to your partner and keeping the fire constantly burning, so to speak, requires serious effort on both of your parts. You cannot  accomplish this totally by your own self.

What happens is, if one of you thinks that he or she is making more serious effort than the other, frustration and anger can start to set in. You may feel unseen and unappreciated and this is the critical when you may wind up looking for a different person to fill that gap that your partner has left unattended.
