The next biggest issue affecting aging couples is when one of the partners has to take care of the other partner because of a mental or physical problem. This is very painful and difficult so it will require some type of support system through friends, community or family. They will provide some way for the supporting partner to vent and talk about what's happening in their lives. This provides a way to maintain the love for the sick partner, maintaining the relationship through this problem.
