Someone very close to me was in the midst of hard times. She seemed to be having more health problems recently and started to feel a little down as a result. I can understand how she felt her depression came from frustration at being unable to do basic things like run errands or get around the house. I can say right now that anybody, whether they're in the same spot because of their weight, their health, or their age, they should do the same thing she did. She's back to her old self again. She had to come around to the idea of owning a wheelchair. She told me once that she felt like she was succumbing to her illness by caving in and getting a wheelchair. With some gentle nudging, she finally started to soften to the idea. We both checked out the various models available online, and she started to actually get excited. We found out that there were a lot of jazzy wheelchairs to choose from. We also found everything from lightweight wheelchairs, to motorized wheelchairs. We were not disappointed at all. These wheelchairs had a lot of features, and were attractive too. I could sense her excitement as she found out all of the optional equipment you could get. After we researched the various models available and finally settled on a Jazzy electric wheel chair, she was really happy with her choice. After deciding on the various accessories like a basket, and cupholder, she picked out a color. Once the chair arrived, she had to make some adjustments. Getting to where she could operate it successfully was a little tricky, but she did okay. But in a short time driving her Jazzy electric wheel chair became second nature to her, and she didn't even have to think about it. If she hadn't done this, who knows where she'd be now. Her life has improved dramatically with her new found freedom.
