Ansaid Medicine - Uses, Dosage and Side Effects

Ansaid Dosage

The usual starting dosage is a total of 200 to 300 milligrams a day, divided into 2, 3, or 4 smaller doses (usually 3 or 4 for rheumatoid arthritis). Your doctor will tailor the dose to suit your needs, but you should not take more than 100 milligrams at any one time or more than 300 milligrams in a day. The safety and effectiveness of Ansaid have not been established in children.

Uses of Ansaid

This medicine is used for the treatment of pain and inflammation. rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and juvenile forms of arthritis; prevention of migraine headaches; and treatment of sunburns, menstrual pain, and acute gout. It may also be used to treats other medical conditions those are listed in this medication guide.

Side Effects of Ansaid

Before taken Ansaid medicine, you should discuss the side effects with your doctor. If any develop or change in intensity, then you should inform your doctor as soon as possible. Side effects that you should report to your prescriber or health care professional as soon as possible:

•blood in urine
•black, tarry stools
•change in the amount of urine passed
•confusion
•dark yellow or brown urine
•difficulty breathing
•pain on swallowing
•skin rash, redness, blistering, peeling or itching
•stomach pain or cramps
•swelling of eyelids, throat, or lips
•symptoms of bronchitis or other respiratory infection
•unusual bleeding or bruising
•unusual tiredness or weakness

Warnings and precautions before taking Ansaid:

Iif you have kidney or liver disease, then you should be used this drug with extra caution.

If you have asthma, then you should also be taken Ansaid with extra caution. You should not take aspirin or similar drugs while you are taking Ansaid.

If you are taking this drug, then it may increase water retention. If you have heart disease or high blood pressure, then you should be used this drug with extra caution.

Drug Interaction :-

If you are taking Ansaid with certain other drugs, then the effects of either could be increased, decreased, or altered. So it is especially important to check with your doctor before combining Ansaid with the following:

*Antacids
*Blood thinners such as Coumadin
*Cimetidine
*Methotrexate
*Oral diabetes drugs such as Micronase
*Ranitidine
*Water pills such as Lasix and Bumex

Overdose

After taken Ansaid if you feel that overdose is suspected, then you should contact with your doctor immediately. It may lead to another serious effect in the body. Symptoms of an overdose may include nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, dizziness, drowsiness, headache, ringing in the ears, blurred vision, seizures, sweating, numbness or tingling, little or no urine production, and slow breathing.
