Inflammation is unavoidable. Our bodies use inflammation as a natural defense against toxins. Too much inflammation, however, can cause adverse health conditions. Scientists are now linking inflammation with a wide variety of conditions including: * All types of pain * Heart disease * Diabetes * Cancer * Alzheimer's disease * Gum disease Although inflammation hasn't been pinpointed as the cause of all these conditions, it has been well-documented as playing a part in them - often intensifying the symptoms and effects. Chronic Inflammation has been termed "The Secret Killer" by Time magazine. There are methods that can be used to reduce inflammation without subjecting your body to ibuprofen side effects. Go to MyInflammationCure.com now to learn how.
Ibuprofen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), which relieves pain and swelling (inflammation). It is used to treat headaches, muscle aches, backaches, dental pain, menstrual cramps, arthritis, or athletic injuries. This medication is also used to reduce fever and to relieve minor aches and pain due to the common cold or flu. This drug works by blocking the enzyme in your body that makes prostaglandins. Decreasing prostaglandins helps to reduce pain, swelling, and fever.
All medicines can cause side effects, but many people have no, or minor, side effects while using ibuprofen. Check with your doctor if any of these most common ibuprofen side effects persist:
* Rash or itchy skin
* Ringing in the ears
* Headaches
* Dizziness
* Drowsiness
* Stomach pain or upset, gas, nausea, diarrhea, constipation or heartburn
* Blurred vision
Seek medical attention right away if any of these SEVERE side effects occur when using ibuprofen:
* Severe allergic reactions (rash; hives; itching; trouble breathing)
* Tightness in the chest or chest pain
* Swelling of the mouth, face, lips or tongue
* Bloody or black, tarry stools
* Change in the amount of urine produced or dark urine
* Confusion
* Depression
* Fainting
* Fast or irregular heartbeat
* Fever, chills, or persistent sore throat
* Mental or mood changes
* Numbness of an arm or leg, or one-sided weakness
* Red, swollen, blistered, or peeling skin
* Seizures
* Severe headache or dizziness
* Severe or persistent stomach pain or nausea
* Severe vomiting or vomit that looks like coffee grounds
* Stiff neck
* Sudden or unexplained weight gain
* Unusual bruising or bleeding
* Unusual joint or muscle pain
* Unusual tiredness or weakness
* Vision or speech changes; slurred speech, problems with vision or balance
* Yellowing of the skin or eyes, jaundice
People who are allergic to other NSAIDs, including aspirin, should not use ibuprofen. Individuals with asthma are more likely to experience allergic reactions to ibuprofen and other NSAIDs.
This is not a complete list of side effects and others may occur. Call your doctor for medical advice about side effects. You may report side effects to FDA at 1-800-FDA-1088.
