Gastric bypass surgery
Gastric Bypass surgery:
In Gastric bypass surgery the esophagus is disconnected from the stomach and attached to the duodenum, this results in less absorption of the nutrients and thus prevents on weight gain.
Sleeve Gastrectomy:
In Sleeve Gastrectomy 85% of the stomach is removed and the remaining part is made in to a sleeve shape and attached to the esophagus and duodenum. This is also the method to prevent the intake of more food.
In case of morbid obese sometimes on the other side some people need revisional gastric bypass surgery after 2 to 5 years.
Mini Gastrectomy is also a simple procedure performed to reduce weight.
