Ortho Evra is the first skin patch approved for birth control contraceptive for women. This new sustained contraceptive made available from July 2002. Ortho Evra is effective form of contraception for modern busy woman who have trouble remembering to take a pill daily. However, the patch must be changed on the same day of the week every week for greatest efficacy, said Dr. Mona Fernandez.
