In the billions of population worldwide, a significant percentage of it are suffering from hyperhidrosis. What is hyperhidrosis? Before answering that question, let us first discuss what perspiration is. When you say, "Perspiration" or what we sometimes called sweating or, at times, we referred to as "transpiration" is just a normal process of human body (or bodies of mammals) to excrete and give off body liquids. It is just normal that we sweat a lot when we are doing tedious jobs or if it is hot. But, the term used will be different if sweating is beyond what is normal for us. If you sweat excessively under normal circumstances and you have observed that you are the only one excessively sweating in a room with people, then you might have hyperhidrosis. Excessive sweating can affect certain parts of the body. The most common includes excessive facial sweating, head sweating, hand or feet sweating.
There are so many people who are trying to solve this problem. Some tried various ways but still end up failing. Actually, in order for you to totally eliminate it (or help your doctor to cure it) you must find out the right cause of the problem. The sole problem is not about sweating a lot (e.g. facial sweating or head sweating). It won't be that big of a help if you are just going to tell the doctor that you are "sweating a lot". It will be very beneficial if you will find out the possible causes and relay it to your doctor.
Let me mention some of the causes of hyperhidrosis. First example, if you are overweight or obese, the tendency is you will sweat a lot or will have hyperhidrosis. Second, the possible cause of hyperhidrosis is thyroid disorder. Third, if you have family members or relatives with hyperhidrosis, it means "it runs in the family" (or it is hereditary). Lastly, if you are alcoholic, then hyperhidrosis might be caused by it. Remember, knowing the cause will lead you to the real solution.
It is really recommended that you consult your doctor about it. However, it is also important you will have firsthand information about it. Some ways to cure hyperhidrosis is through surgery. Others will go through a certain process wherein the body part which is affected by hyperhidrosis (like face, feet, hand and head).
Facial sweating, for example, will surely make you uncomfortable. Some may resort to surgery will others prefer to use prescribed medicines or cream. And if you have, for example, excessive head sweating it is really a problem since it can result to smelly damp hair. The simplest solution to this is to take a shower everyday and shampoo your hair. It is not advisable for you to wear hat. By just doing this, you head may still sweat but your hair will not be smelly. You can consult your doctor for the best solution that suits you. Be patient and don't stress yourself. You will surely find the say the magic words "head n facial sweating be gone!"
