Neck and back pain is a common occurrence these days. All of us have experienced it on more than one occasion. Sometimes it is a bad sleep at night, sometimes a long day at the office and at times a sudden jerk is what causes a neck or back pain. Injuries to neck and back can be quite debilitating, as they can prevent you from performing even the simplest of your functions. You might find it difficult to get up and go from one place to another, leave aside working.
What is worse is that our sedentary lives have made us prone to frequent neck and back injuries. This is because we work in stationary positions for much longer duration while our bodies are not strong enough to put up with this kind of abuse. Exercise is hardly a part of our daily lives, which leaves us too weak to tolerate the onslaught of modern life.
There is ample medical help available, but much like our modern life, it too comes with a number of side effects. Therefore, popping the pill is no longer a viable solution. Therefore, people are turning to alternative remedies in a big way.
Massage, meditation and acupuncture are among the most preferred alternative treatments primarily because they come with no side effects and can cure the problem instead of providing a short-lived, quick fix relief.
Acupuncture is fast gaining ground as the foremost alternative treatment for treatment method. For those who are unfamiliar with it, it is a treatment that involves the inserting of needles at crucial points in the body. The insertion of needles at these points cures the pain and discomfort. It is a painless process and has been found to be very effective.
Massage, too, is coming up as a great way to relieve pain. It is primarily because massage facilitates the flow of blood, which, in turn, helps the healing process to a large extent besides relaxing the tensed muscles.
Meditation is yet another alternative remedy though it calls for a high degree of self-discipline for one to be able to perform it. But once you start meditating successfully, it not only relieves back pain but also infuses one's life with new energy.
Therefore, medication is not the only option you have for back pain relief. There are many more to choose from. And they come free of side effects. Choose the best one or use all or any of them in combination.

Oral Supplementation for Hemorrhoids
By: bcured | 28/11/2009Oral dietary supplementation is an attractive addition to the traditional treatment of hemorrhoids. The loss of vascular integrity is associated with the pathogenesis of hemorrhoids. Several botanical extracts have been shown to improve microcirculation, capillary flow, and vascular tone, and to strengthen the connective tissue of the perivascular amorphous substrate. Oral supplementation with AntihemorrhoidsDrops may prevent time-consuming, painful, and expensive complications of hemorrhoids.
Herpes Encephalitis
By: bcured | 28/11/2009Herpes encephalitis is the most common cause of sporadic viral encephalitis. Herpes encephalitis can occur either through hematogenous spread or neuronal transmission. Recent scientific studies of medicinal antiviral plant extracts show very encouraging results for a herpes cure, and have sparked a new methodology for treating herpes. Studies of these antiviral extracts demonstrate that many of these compounds exhibit significant anti-herpetic activity.
Interferon for Warts
By: bcured | 28/11/2009It appears that combinations of interferon and other treatments are not more effective than such other treatments used alone. The high cost of interferon make it a treatment best reserved for genital warts recalcitrant to other treatments. Interferon may not have a synergistic effect with other treatment modalities in the treatment of condyloma. Determining the best treatment for genital warts takes into account efficacy, needs, preferences, financial resources and convenience to the patient.
Acquisition of HSV during Pregnancy
By: bcured | 28/11/2009Neonatal herpes is an uncommon but serious complication of genital herpes. The acquisition of genital herpes during pregnancy has been associated with spontaneous abortion, prematurity, and congenital and neonatal herpes. A cure is needed immediately once an outbreak appears. Pills often take time to take effect and are not a cure for herpes virus infections when full blown. The molecules are naturally occurring in certain plant extracts and heavily concentrated in our anti-herpes treatments.
Trichloracetic Acid for Genital Wart
By: bcured | 28/11/2009Trichloracetic acid (TCA) can be used to treat genital warts. It is most effective when treating few small, moist lesions. TCA also can be used to treat vaginal and anal lesions. In addition to effectiveness, mechanisms and dosing schedules inform a physician's decision on what therapy to select. What's more, it is important to understand the side effects of treatments of genital warts because side effects influence the choices that physician and patient make regarding choice of treatment.
HSV and Cognitive Deficits
By: bcured | 28/11/2009Serologic evidence of HSV 1 infection is associated with cognitive impairment in individuals with bipolar disorder. HSV infection also causes several distinct medical disorders. Patients with immature or suppressed immune systems are prone to severe complications from HSV infections. Certain dietary adjustments, dietary supplements, and alternative remedies are believed to be beneficial in the treatment of herpes, either alone, or in conjunction with prescribed antiviral therapy.
Carbon Dioxide Laser Therapy for Warts
By: bcured | 28/11/2009CO2 laser therapy is a useful treatment modality, especially for extensive warts. Carbon dioxide laser can be used to treat extensive and thick warts quickly and without the drawing of blood. However, laser treatment is more complex and costly than electrosurgery or cryotherapy. A disadvantage of the lasers is that the risk of scarring, although small, is greater than of cryotherapy. Warts occurring on the body, face, feet, hands or genitals can be successfully eliminated with AntiWarts-Rx.
Relationship between Herpes and Neuronal Disorders
By: bcured | 28/11/2009The potential effect of HSV-1 in the etiology of Bell's palsy has prompted the use of antiviral medication to treat the condition. The benefits of acyclovir and valacyclovir have been studied. But the effect appears small, if at all detectable. Vaccines are in clinical trials but have not demonstrated effectiveness. Treatments can reduce viral reproduction and shedding, prevent the virus from entering the skin, and alleviate the severity of symptomatic episodes.
