Choosing a Chinese medicine candida treatment is becoming more and more popular. This article explores why.

It is not unusual to find a strain of yeast called Candida in a many peoples digestive system, normally in the mouth, throat, intestines and the genitourinary tract.

Although there are many Western medicines, which are capable of treating this infection, unfortunately if used too often they can actually exacerbate the problem rather than cure it.

This is why more and more people are looking for alternative and natural ways of treating this particular infection.

One of the best alternative treatments available is the use of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).

For many centuries now there have been certain herbs used by Chinese Medicine practitioners in order to treat and cure Candida.

The herbs that are used in order to treat Candida are those that have strong anti-fungal and anti-biotic properties and are used to kill off the bad bacteria and yet still allow the good bacteria to grow.

It is essential that a person's body has sufficient good bacteria as this helps to suppress an uncontrollable overgrowth of Candida.

There are many herbs available today, which are used by Chinese Medicine practitioners in order to treat Candida and these include garlic, Skullcup, Saussurea, Agastachis, Melia, Coptis, Phellodendra, Astragalus, Codonopsis and Dioscorea.

The use of garlic in order to treat Candida is considered especially important, as it is one of the most powerful alternative medicines readily available for treating this type of infection. This is because it contains very strong natural anti-biotic and anti-fungal properties, which work very effectively on treating fungus related infections such as Candida.

There are a number of ways that you can take garlic - you can either add it fresh to your meals each day or it can be taken as a daily supplement.

However, what is important that if you decide to take your garlic as a capsule supplement you avoid the odour free variety, as Allicin, the compound that gives garlic its smell, contains much of the anti-fungal and anti-biotic properties.

Another great way of treating Candida is by taking a black walnut supplement as this contains natural tannin, which helps to kill off parasites such as yeast and fungus when found in the body.

Generally, a Chinese medicine practitioner will look for an imbalance in the body, and this will account for the problems being suffered. They will then seek to correct this imbalance using two steps:

Cleansing - This step is used to rid the body of the infections and other toxins and waste, so that the next stage can be more beneficial
Tonifying - This stage is to repair any damage caused by the infection.

This approach, along with diet and lifestyle changes can be very effective at stopping an infection in its tracks and reducing the chance of suffering from a reoccurrence.
