Depression among the children is one issue that has kept the medical world in the wits. Though numerous studies are being conducted into the aspect of increase in depression among children, there has not been much improvement in the scenario. The fact of the matter is that depression instances among the children are on an all time rise. Depression among children has obvious disadvantages the most important being the difficulty in diagnosis. There is an acute requirement to spread awareness regarding this very important issue of depression in the children. Parents very often fail to notice the symptoms of depression making home in their children’s psyche and even if they notice they don’t realize that their children are on the way to become mental patients. Depression in children though is very serious, it is equally curable. The only fact is that the parents or the guardians are required to be alert. Ignorance in case of depression would bring no bliss!
