Anxiety Attack Treatment – Break The Cycle of Fear and Worry

Who in this world has not suffered from at least some form of anxiety?  For most of us, it is just another thing to deal with from time to time.  Yet for a certain percentage of people, anxiety is something that is suffered to a much greater extent.  Fear and worry can be become the dominant thoughts in their mind.  So much so, that anxiety can disrupt every single facet of their lives.  If you think you fall into this group, I would strongly advise an effective anxiety attack treatment.

But before we get into that, what exactly is a panic attack? These attacks can best be described as distinct periods of acute stress where the sufferer experiences both physical and emotional symptoms. The onset of the attack differs with each person.

Some experience attacks without any warning whatsoever, while others experience attacks at the thought of a person, place, or thing.  Regardless of the specific symptoms, if you suffer extremes levels of anxiety, it is strongly advised to seek a good anxiety attack treatment.

There are many symptoms of a panic attack. Fear and worry are the most common, and these symptoms are manifested in both physical and emotional ways. Emotional symptoms include trouble concentrating, feeling jumpy or tense, anticipating worst-case scenarios, restlessness, irritability, and apprehensive feelings. Physical symptoms include excessive sweating, heavy and rapid heart pounding, upset stomach, dizziness, tremors, difficulty breathing, headaches, tension, fatigue, and insomnia.

An effective treatment will enable the sufferer to remain calm and content.  Panic attack remedies come in many forms. They range from medications to holistic methods. Medications typically prescribed include clonazepam, diazepam, and lorazepam, among others. These medications fall under the category of benzodiazepine drugs. Their aim is to serve as a treatment that works quickly on the symptoms. And while they may help, long-term use can lead to an increased tolerance and physical dependence.

There are other doctors that prefer to prescribe anti-depressants to reduce panic attacks. Fluoxertine, sertraline, and paroxetine are examples of these anti-depressants. Medication is definitely one choice for controlling a panic disorder, but there are other better ways to deal with this problem without resorting to the use of chemicals.

Counseling, slow diaphragmatic breathing, and paper bag re-breathing are just a few of these options. There are also products on the market that have been proven to help sufferers deal with their episodes and break free of the anxious cycle they are living in.

The best methods use a new technique that breaks the cycle of anxiety and prevents the sufferer from regressing back to the past once he or she has made it through. These methods also don't require excessive therapy or medications. And the sufferer learns how to effectively cope at the first signs of a panic attack.  They soon learn how to forever free themselves from such episodes, and get back to a normal, happy, and healthy life.
