Depression is both the cause and result of several physical or mental ailments in the human body. Many a times, like a chain reaction one disease affecting a particular organ gives rise to another disease in the same organ and sometimes in some other organ. Depression is however, proved to be a veteran and an expert in this regard. Depression has been found to be responsible for the rise of a lot many diseases in different parts of the body. However, this happens only when depression is in its advanced stages or is left untreated. In the minor cases of depression, there are fewer chances that depression might lead to some other ailment.
But it also holds true that that in spite of being a common occurrence, depression is not normal. It is a mental disorder and it needs to be treated. But it only the doctor who can decide how to treat depression in a patient. Deviating from the topic a bit, I would like to bring home the point that many a times when a drug is taken without a prescription and as a consequence, when the subject suffers from side-effects, he or she blames the medicine. In this way, when people thrust the blame solely on medicines, details on drug side-effects spread like wildfire and they become hugely unpopular.
This trend has become more prevalent with the introduction of the online sale of medicines. Anti-depressants are also sold online. However, to put a check on drug abuse, online pharmacies demand prescription before selling a prescription-based medicine. Xanax is an anti-depressant sold online. While you buy xanax online, you should go through some of the significant tidbits in xanax such as xanax warnings and only then should move ahead to buy xanax. In this way, of you take some pains in understanding a drug before administering it, you can keep yourself at a safe distance from the disastrous consequences that can result from drug abuse. The prescription, of course, is a must and only the doctor is entitled to prescribe it.
Coming back to the contribution of depression in perpetuation of other diseases in the human anatomy, a wealth of researches have been undertaken on this topic and striking results are obtained. Depression is capable of giving rise to a number of life threatening diseases, at times, in collaboration with other factors and sometimes by solo. A combined study undertaken at Indiana University and Purdue University shows that when a person who is generally hostile in behavior suffers from depression, he might experience the hike of several proteins in his system that are capable of giving rise to heart ailments. These proteins, namely interleukin-6 and C-reactive protein, are known to cause serious heart ailments, including high blood pressure and high level of cholesterol.
