Self help for Panic Attack and Anxiety

If you suffer from anxiety like many people, you may be feeling helpless. You may have felt like you were going crazy or that you were loosing control of your emotions. And it can feel helpless when you are experiencing the cold sweats and dizziness. It is not fun when your chest feels as though your heart is going to pound through your chest. There is no place to escape or hide when you are having a panic attack.

No wonder you may feel helpless. But you can treat yourself. Many anxiety sufferers are learning how to get self help for panic attack.

You don't need to go on medication like you may have been told. Thre are many natural remedies that can help you deal with the panic attack or maybe even prevent one from starting.

Here are some of the natural remedies that have helped others..

First of all when your are having a panic attack, try laying on the floor on your back and place a book on your stomach. As you breath in be sure to watch the book lift up. This ensures that your are breathing correctly, into your stomach. I suggest doing this for about 10 minutes.

Another thing that works is meditation. Many people meditate daily. If you have never meditated you should learn. What it does is it helps you to stop all the chatter in your brain and it helps to still the mind.

Believe it or not, panic and anxiety starts in the mind with thoughts. A sure fire way to cause a panic attack is to be in a state of stress or worry. Meditation helps you to not worry, since you are only focusing on the present moment, rather that worrying about future events that you have no control over or dwelling on past issues that can't be changed. So learn how to meditate. You will be glad you did.
