Know the land mines of network marketing

I am going to review a webinar that I just heard from Mark Yarnell.  I believe it is the best advise I have heard for a long time.  I can't review the entire webinar, but I can review what he said about mlm landmines.  Something that we all should be aware of in network marketing.

Land mines

1. Comparison bomb - don't go around doing comparisons of all these opportunities that are out there.  Find the one that interests you and focus.

2. Three deal bomb - similar to the first in the sense that you cannot do more than one network marketing deal at a time.  You will loose out on all three if you try.

3. Multitasking bomb - a person cannot drive a car, comb their hair and eat      breakfast at the same time.  There will eventually be an accident.  It is no different in network marketing.

4. Banker bomb - you can't pay for your best friend start-up kit.  They will not take it seriously and most likely will not pay you back.

5. Product expert bomb - more than likely, if you are the product expert you will overwhelm almost anyone that you talk to.  Just introduce them to the product and let it explain itself or let the experts do the explaining.  Your job is to recruit and retail.

6. Friends and family bomb - after you are doing well in your business, it will be hard to keep your friends and family out of the business.  They will want to know what you are doing and will join you naturally.

7. Networking bomb - do not participate in networking parties where you just go to network will other networkers and just exchange cards.  Those people are not there to look at your business, they are there to get you to join theirs.  It is just a waste of time.  '

8. Dabble bomb - if you are working with a dabbler, you are wasting your time.  They are only there to check things out.  They will, more than likely, move on the the next opportunity that they can dabble in.  Move on.

9. Dump bomb - don't unload everything you know about your company or product all at once.  Let a bit of a teaser to help them want to know more.  If they are interested, they will want to look you up. If their not interested, it's good you found at sooner than later.

10. Short cut bomb - there are no short cuts to this business.  The way to success is to work hard, follow your mentor and put in the time.

Hopefully this has been of help to you as it was to me. Network marketing in thebest business in the world but there are some pitfalls that will drag you down ifyou aren't aware of them upfront.

By: Ruth Webster | 26/11/2009
You may not realize this but all of us can market. But we've been conditioned by the corporate world to be consumers not marketers. To be successful in MLM marketing we need to find people who want what we have and then meet their need. Selling is about convincing people. Nobody wants to be sold to but everyone wants to buy!

Is Joining an MLM as a baby boomer SMART?

By: Darwin Farr | 21/11/2009 | Home Business
I suppose, as everything else, that depends on you. If - you - are “set for life” so to speak and have developed a nest egg somewhere in a real estate deal or your 401-K hasn’t tanked in the last recession and you are able to live off the proceeds from that, then there probably really isn’t any reason to join an MLM company...
