Multi-Level Marketing or Network Marketing is a marketing strategy that compensates members of the network not only for product sales they personally generate, but also for the sales of others they introduced to the company.
MLM has long been trumpeted as the ultimate online income generating strategy. But is it really worth it? How does MLM work?
Now I’ll get straight to the point and say that MLM actually does work and contrary to popular belief it is NOT illegal. The problem is choosing the right multi-level marketing program. My personal recommendation is never to join an MLM program that doesn’t offer a product (either tangible or electronic) or a service. MLM programs that do not offer any product or service will be harder for you to sell to others after you’ve paid your fee because it raises red flags in many people’s minds. In the past similar MLM programs have been used to rip people off!
However there are in fact ‘MLM-like’ programs that do offer quite reasonable compensation plans. Generally you’ll want to seek out programs that will not require huge amounts of investment simply because your success will depend much on your ability to get others to join the program as well. The higher the cost, the less likely that people will join such a program.
Once you’ve determined a good MLM program that offers a useful product at a reasonable fee and comes with a generous compensation plan, you can begin contemplating getting involved. However it is also good to take into account how easily the program can be marketed, if it is in fact truly a good deal it, will sell itself. Is the program that you are considering to join likely to attract the eye of others or will people likely overlook it?
These things are important things to take into consideration and it’s one of the reasons why many people have failed at multi-level marketing. So if you are interested in this type of income generation proceed cautiously work at it with a long term view and start making some real money online.
