I want to clarify about this misconception in Internet marketing. It is about effective email marketing and it relates to your subscribers.
Do you believe that it makes perfect sense to send out more and more emails to your subscribers in a week? Say 4-6 times? If the answer is no, then you are leaving a LOT of money on the table.
There is no spoken or written rule that says you must only email your people only once or twice during a week! And there is also no rule that says you must only email on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays!
You see, people are just afraid to email out as they don’t want to be label as being a spammer. You are not spamming anyone! How can you be a spammer if the people who opted into your website are the ones BEGGING you to send emails to them? Didn’t you remember that that is what permission marketing is all about?
Look at it this way – if people opt-in to your site, they have given you the go ahead that they want to receive information from you. So there is no harm emailing them often. If they don’t like it, they can unsubscribe any time they want!
The cyber law states that whenever you email someone like this, you must have a link at the bottom of the email that gives them a way out and that is the unsubscribe link at the bottom – so you are well protected in case anyone accuses you of being a spammer!
“But would too many emails force many people to unsubscribe?”
Yes that is a valid concern, but let me address this as well… if people unsubscribe, you should THANK them! Hurray!
People who don’t open your emails are like dead weight. They take up space on your autoresponder and it might even cost you more money because some autoresponders will charge you more money the more subscribers you have.
Therefore, I’m always looking for quality instead of quantity. I would rather have 500 subscribers who reads my emails, respond to my offers and buy stuff rather than 50,000 people who are all freebie seekers! It just makes perfect sense to focus on quality people.
So at the end of the day, remember that the more you email your subscribers, the more money you will earn because the more they read your stuff, the more they are ‘exercised’ and will become more responsive too.
