Why Do 98% of Network Marketers Fail in Their Home Based Business?

Creating a significant personal wealth from your network marketing business should be all too easy, right? I mean all of us “networkers” are told that ALL we have to do is find three of our friends and family, duplicate our upline’s “system” to have them join your business, tell those three to go and find three, duplicate (again) and KAPOW before you know it you have created a massive home based business generating piles of cash, while you sit on the beach worrying only about what exotic cocktail you should order next. Ahhhh, couldn’t be simpler, right? Well, with a 98% failure rate in MLM; things just couldn’t be any more WRONG!

There are many reasons why the majority of network marketers never make it to the big money. Some of the most common reasons being:

1. No plan or ineffective plan of action
2. Low (or even nonexistent) downline associate retention (revolving door)
3. Unrealistic expectations
4. Lack of quality prospects
5. Improper communication skills
6. Lack of appropriate training
7. Failure to properly position themselves as leaders
8. Not seeing or treating their business as a real business
9. Unable to sell the opportunity

These are just a few of the many reasons why most people never get to see any of the wealth and financial freedom promised to them by their MLM company. When this promise of extreme wealth is not quickly realized by the network marketer, many people tend to become disillusioned, and resort to jumping from one MLM company to the next; always in search of a “better” opportunity with more robust compensation plans. Unfortunately, they honestly believe that the problem must be that they have simply chosen the “wrong” Networking company to be involved with. However, most networkers soon quickly realize that switching company doesn’t solve the problem and that the same patterns emerge; trying to build a business using your friends and family is extremely ineffective, and it just seems as if no one is particularly interested in joining you in business to earn those millions of dollars per year.

Which brings me to the number 1 reason why traditional methods of MLM companies fail 98% of the time; they teach you to lead with the greed. They instruct you to recruit prospects into your business leading with the opportunity first, and not the product or services the company has to offer. This method will spell disaster for you 98% of the time because it leaves your prospects with only one question, “So, how much are you making from this opportunity?” Unless you already are making a fortune from your MLM, this single question will stop your prospecting efforts dead in their tracks!

The solution? You must forget about the opportunity and compensation plan for now. Pretend it doesn’t exist! Lead with your product FIRST. Try out your product/service yourself (you’d be surprised how many people actually haven’t used the products/services from their own MLM company). Use it. How does it make you feel? How has using the product benefited you? Would you continue to use this product even if there were no “opportunity” attached? Make a quick list right now about what benefits these products have done for you personally. You can easily and knowingly speak to your prospects regarding the benefits of the product because you have, in fact, experienced the product! Don’t misunderstand me; we are also looking for these prospects to join us in business, right? Well, by properly leading with your product or service (there is a technique to this) and finishing with your opportunity; you will be able to acquire both a customer and motivated associate all in one the majority of the time. And for those prospects who do not wish, at this time, to join your opportunity; well, you’ve just acquired a loyal customer on “auto-ship”, nuff said! With this information alone, you can reverse the pattern of failure so many network marketers experience, and with the right tools, techniques and application; you can begin building a massive and truly profitable home based business.
